Ireland’s second National Biodiversity Conference will be held in Dublin Castle on Wednesday and Thursday, 8-9th June 2022 and some additional volunteers are needed for the event.
The theme of this year’s National Biodiversity Conference is 'Act Now for Nature', focusing on the whole-of-government, whole-of-society approach to biodiversity which will underpin the next National Biodiversity Action Plan (NBAP). This 4th NBAP is currently in development and will go to public consultation later in the summer, before eventual publication in 2023. Details of the conference can be found on the conference website at www.biodiversityconference.ie.
NCI is supporting the National Parks and Wildlife Service with conference event management, and we would like to invite NCI members to apply for volunteer positions as conference support staff for this landmark event, taking place at The Printworks at Dublin Castle on Dame Street, Dublin 2 on June 8 & 9th.
In return for free admission to the conference, volunteers will assist with conference registration and housekeeping, providing support functions during conference sessions and panel discussions, and providing assistance to conference attendees as the need arises.
If you would like to apply for a volunteer position at this year’s conference, please email info@naturalcapitalireland.com with “Conference volunteer” in the subject line.
