Register for our two upcoming biodiversity and finance events



The IFNC is involved in two upcoming sustainable finance events for 2020, find links to register below.


Economist Stephen Kinsella, of the University of Limerick, pictured, will be at this year's Climate Finance Week Ireland, appearing at the Sustainable Finance Development event on November 4th. Stephen will be speaking about our INCASE project, the pilot programme to apply Natural Capital Accounting in Irish catchments. You can register for the event here


Secondly, on January 19th, 2020, we are hosting an event on business, biodiversity and finance. (Date updated). Speakers include:


  • Dr Theo Cojoianu, Assistant Professor of Finance, Queen's University Belfast & Member, Platform on Sustainable Finance, EU Commission and

  • Mark van Oorschot, Senior Researcher on International Biodiversity Policies, Dutch Environmental Agency (PBL).


We will present three novel studies that explore this area:


  • The Indebted to Nature report, written by the Dutch Central Bank and the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL)

  • A study on the uptake of biodiversity management of 11,000 corporates worldwide, using UNEP-WCMC’s ENCORE tool.

  • Our review of business action on biodiversity in Ireland.
